About Kos Candles
KOS: a popular Norwegian term used for anything that brings you coziness, happiness, and love.
Kos Candles is inspired by my Norwegian heritage and my desire to create a comfy and cozy atmosphere during the difficult and dark times of Covid.
When Covid-19 hit, I had just moved to a new state and started making candles out of boredom for friends. The support was overwhelming, so I decided to go big and launch Kos Candles.
I hope Kos Candles can bring you a little light and joy in these tough times!

Coco Apricot Crème Wax
Coco Apricot Crème wax is a vegan blend of natural apricot and coconut and used in all of our candles. This unique wax is gluten free, toxin free, paraben free, phthalate free, and comes from renewable sources.
Our wax does contain a miniscule amount of highly refined food-grade paraffin wax, as this enhances the performance of the wax. Scientific studies have proven paraffin wax to burn just as cleanly as soy, beeswax, or palm. And the highly refined food-grade nature of the paraffin still puts it in the natural category.
Wooden Wicks
We use exclusively wooden wicks ethically sourced from FSC certified mills and manufactured in the USA. These vegan and eco-friendly wicks prevent carbon soot buildup, are non-toxic. They provide a soft-crackling ambiance and a unique shaped flame.
Wooden wicks are beautiful but they can be tricky at times, so please be sure to check out our candle care instructions!

Phthalate-Free Fragrances
All fragrance oils used in our candles are created using fine fragrance oils + pure essential oils from around the globe. They are all phthalate-free. Why is this important? Products containing phthalates are becoming more of a concern to consumers as having a potentially negative effect on human health. More and more research has emerged showing that phthalates can impact anywhere from your endocrine system to increased risk of breast cancer, fertility issues, and various other health problems.
Recycled Vessels
Our beautiful glass vessels come from 100% recycled glass and are BPA and lead free. They can be reused in so many ways - from drinking or cocktail glasses, to toothbrush holders, plant vase, or even a pen or trinket holder. Or, try adding a candle votive!
Eco-Friendly Shipping
We know how detrimental shipping materials and actually shipping can be. That’s why we make sure all of our materials (down to our tape!) are made from recycled and environmentally friendly products.
